About KB Counseling

Our Mission

At KB Counseling, we strive to provide compassionate and effective mental health support. Our mission is to empower children, adolescents, and young adults in Miami, FL, to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.

Team

Meet Glory Ann Acevedo, MS, LMHC

For the past 15 years, I've dedicated my career to walking alongside children, teens, and young adults as they navigate life's challenges and discover their strengths. My journey began with a deep belief that everyone deserves to feel confident, understood, and empowered—regardless of their age or circumstances.

What sets my practice apart is my commitment to truly seeing each client as a whole person. Whether working with a 7-year-old struggling with ADHD, a teenager facing anxiety, or parents feeling overwhelmed by their child's behavior, I bring the same foundational principle: authentic connection creates lasting change.

My diverse experience across hospital settings, community mental health, and private practice has taught me that healing happens differently for everyone. Some clients need structured CBT approaches, others thrive with creative play therapy techniques, and many benefit from integrating wellness and nutrition principles into their mental health journey.

What drives me: Watching a child rediscover their joy, seeing a teenager develop genuine self-confidence, and helping families reconnect—these moments remind me why I became a therapist. Every session is an opportunity to help someone rewrite their story from struggle to strength.
